The Rhaetian Railway observation cars are built on the basic frame of the F 4000 series, built in 1911, and from 1964 known as baggage cars under series no. D² 4000.
Since 1990, the baggage cars have been completely rebuilt and used as the observation cars used today.

Technical information Prototype: 2nd class open observation car, 2-axle with steering axles and with open platform, 44 seats, weight 7.00t - length over buffers 10.19m - permissible speed 60 km/h

The model is available with four vehicle numbers No. B² 2096 and B² 2102 with the inscription "Aussichtswagen" in German and Italian "Carrozza panoramica" and vehicle numbers No. B² 2097, B² 2099 with the inscription "Aussichtswagen" in German and Romansh "Vagun panoramic".
The car has Micro-trains couplings and double insulated metal wheel sets.
